LegalArt and Art Practical present a series of talks exploring the attributes that define the visual arts culture in Miami.
Using Renny Pritikin’s “Prescription for a Healthy Art Scene” as a point of departure, Art Practical contributing editors will invite local cultural producers to discuss the needs and opportunities of Miami’s expanding art scene.
Fourth Prescription:
“Miami as Public Art Playground”
What place does Miami take as global model for public art?
What impact—concrete or intangible—does public art have on the community?
When public art is sanctioned, where does the underground go?
Led by Art Practical contributor Tess Thakara
Guest Speakers: Brandi Reddick and Agustina Woodgate
Join us on Thursday, September 27, 2012 at 6:00pm at Locust Projects, 3852 North Miami Avenue, Miami Fl 33127
