Artists of all disciplines currently living in Miami, Florida are eligible to apply for LegalArt’s Local Residency. Each year five artists are selected to live and work in custom-designed studios in LegalArt’s building for approximately 12 months, from February 2013 to January 2014. Participants pay a highly-subsidized rent of $450 per month, which includes all utilities, full use of the residency floor, and one dedicatred parking space. All residents share a full kitchen, laundry facilities, and common dining and lounge areas.
In addition to providing Miami artists with affordable live/work space, the residency program offers free, monthly educational and professional development programs, plus pro bono legal services through LegalArt’s LegalLink Program.
